Executive Team
Howard Lindzon
Mr. Lindzon, our Chief Executive Officer, is a founding partner of Social Leverage, a technology-focused early-stage investment company. He has invested in over 125 companies including investments in Robinhood, Rally Road, eToro and Alpaca. Prior to founding Social Leverage in 2009, his early-stage investment exits included sales to Comcast, Google, Pandora, Salesforce and Twitter.
In 2008, Mr. Lindzon co-founded StockTwits, a social media platform with over four million registered users where investors and traders share investment ideas and served as its Chief Executive Officer from 2008 to 2013. Prior to StockTwits, he founded WallStrip, a daily news video podcast which was later purchased by CBS after airing over 300 episodes. With over 20 years of experience, he is regarded as an astute deal marker based on his track record of identifying and investing in promising opportunities and further nurturing their growth to become established players. Mr. Lindzon has amassed a significant network of entrepreneurs, venture investors and operators cultivated over the decades, and has a very popular social media profile.
He graduated from Arizona State University with a Master of Business Administration degree and from Thunderbird School of Global Management with a Master of Arts degree in International Management.
Paul Grinberg
Mr. Grinberg, our Chairman, has 35 years of experience, most of which was in M&A and advising, running and serving on the board of public companies. He currently serves as the Chairman of Axos Financial, Inc., the holding company for Axos Bank, a nationwide, digital-first bank that provides consumer and business banking products through its low-cost distribution channels and affinity partners. He has served as a director of Axos Financial, Inc. since April 2004 and as the Chairman of its board of directors since February 2017.
Additionally, Mr. Grinberg provides advisory services to private equity funds, credit funds, and venture capital firms with a focus on financial services and fintech. He also serves as a director to several credit funds and private companies. Prior to Axos, Mr. Grinberg served as President, Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Encore Capital Group, one of the world’s largest public debt buyers. Mr. Grinberg also served as partner and a senior member of the services group at Deloitte, where he was employed for 14 years.
He graduated from Columbia Business School with a Master of Business Administration degree and from Yeshiva University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Accounting.
Douglas Horlick
Mr. Horlick, our President and COO, is the founder of Estancia LLC, a strategy and advisory consulting firm based in Arizona, where he works closely with C-suite executives on both strategy and global sales initiatives. He has over 20 years of experience in the securities industry, specifically within sales and trading.
Prior to founding Estancia, Mr. Horlick held senior positions at Goldman Sachs (Managing Director, Securities Division, 2009-2014), Bank of America (Managing Director, Securities Division, 2005-2009) and Citigroup (Vice President, Securities Division, 2002-2005).
He graduated from the University of Michigan with a degree in Organizational Studies.
